The Wedding Singer: The Musical Comedy

Hart House Theatre :: January 10, 2014 - January 25, 2014

The Wedding Singer, the musical based on the popular Adam Sandler film, is the story of Robbie Hart, a wedding singer whose own luck in love leaves him desolate, blind to the perfect woman standing right in front of him.

Chock full of salutes to 80s pop culture, The Wedding Singer transports us to the New Jersey shore to find true love in a sea of tulle, layer cakes, & first dances.

Shakespeare's beloved comedy begins with a shipwreck & ends with marriages, reunions, & some good old-fashioned revenge - with plenty of hijinks & hilarity in between. Featuring some of the Bard's most memorable comedic characters, Twelfth Night is classic comedy at its best, full of mistaken identity, disguise, intrigue, &, above all, the search for love.

Week 2: Wed-Sat 8pm & Sat 2pm MATINEE (Mar5-8)
2 Postshow Chats: Mar1 Sat & Mar6 Thurs

Winner of the Governor General's Award for Drama & the Floyd S. Chalmers Canadian Play Award, Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet) tells the other-worldly, comedic story of Constance Ledbelly, an overlooked academic striving to prove her theory about two of Shakespeare's best-known plays. Through Constance's often-hilarious subconscious journey of self-discovery, Shakespeare's archetypal heroines are shown in a new light as they try to untangle issues of identity, sexuality, & self-worth.
