This year’s theme will draw researchers from urban economics, with a micro focus on long run development, trade, and the environment, and from international macroeconomics with a focus on business cycles, financial markets, and monetary policy. Intersecting these two fields will be researchers on public policy, that is, economists who study the levers that national governments typically wield: taxes, transfers, education, and labor mobility (migration and immigration). We also invite papers in other areas of economics, including general equilibrium, industrial organization, and quantitative methods. Conference website Speakers include Edward Glaeser, Harvard University Cities in the Developing World Philip Oreopoulos, University of Toronto Behavioral Economics of Education: Some Puzzles, Progress, & Possibility William Strange, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto Agglomeration & Real Estate ~~~~~~~~~~ Conference Locations, at Victoria College Emanuel College Room 119 Northrop Frye Hall Room 113 Room 119 Old Vic Building Room 115 Room 206 Room 212 Room 215 Room 323 Alumni Hall Old Vic Chapel ~~~~~~~~~~ Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis website . |
